Description

Bright purple lavender buds, yes, this is a culinary herb. English Lavender has the sweetest fragrance of all the lavenders and is the one most commonly used in cooking. The uses of lavender in cooking is limited only by your imagination.

Lavender has a sweet, floral flavor, with notes of lemon and citrus. The potency of the lavender flowers increase with drying so the key to cooking with Lavender is to experiment; start out with a little.

Using this herb takes a more thoughtful intention when planning a dish. Most commonly used in baked goods or sweets, such as Muffins, Sugar Cookies, Lemonade, and Ice Cream. It’s also surprisingly good in savory dishes! Be aware that a little goes a long way. And for a refreshing change add to teas too!

There are so many uses for this lavender. I highly recommend making lavender shortbread cookies.
