We use only pure and fresh food to infuse flavor into raw honey. When doing this we take extra care to ensure the flavor is at it's peak and lasts.
Honey jars are standard 8 oz liquid. Holds 10.5 oz of Spice Pecan Honey and 11 oz of all other flavors.
Lavender & Vanilla Bean Honey - We use fresh lavender flowers to infuse the flavor of lavender into the honey. Once the honey has reached the peak flavor we want the flowers are taken out of the honey. At that time we add 100% pure fresh Madagascar Vanilla Beans. We split the beans in half and scrape out the interior of the bean. This looks like tiny black specks. You can see these in this jar when you open it. Generally, you will see these black specks on the lid or the top of the honey. Many times these float to the top. You should lightly stir each time you use the honey to disperse the vanilla bean. Then enjoy! Some times you may see a flower bud or two in your honey. It's ok. We use culinary grade lavender flowers.
Vanilla Bean Honey - We use pure fresh Madagascar Vanilla Beans and a little bit of Madagascar Bourbon pure Vanilla Extract. We split the vanilla bean in half and scrape out the interior of the bean. You will see black specks on the lid or the top of the honey. Many times these float to the top. You should lightly stir each time you use the honey to disperse the vanilla bean. We also put a portion of the scraped vanilla bean into the jar. This continues to infuse fresh vanilla flavor into the honey.
Lemon and Vanilla Bean Honey - Fresh pure lemons are zested. To zest the lemon means we scrape the outside of the lemon skin because it has top quality flavor in a little bit. We add some of the lemon zest into each jar of the lemon honey. This continues to infuse flavor into the honey. We use fresh lemons in the honey until we reach the flavor we want. At that time we add 100% pure fresh Madagascar Vanilla Beans. We split the beans in half and scrape out the interior of the bean. This looks like tiny black specks. So upon opening the jar you may see black specks and pieces of lemon and lemon zest. Sometimes these float to the top of the jar. Give it a stir and enjoy.
Cinnamon Honey - We use the premium Ceylon Cinnamon to add to this honey. This cinnamon is known as the "true" cinnamon and has a warm rich flavor. Then we add a cinnamon stick to each jar. Cinnamon is touted as a very healthy spice to eat. The cinnamon will float to the top of the honey. Upon opening the jar give it a stir then enjoy.
Jalapeno Honey - For this honey we use fresh ripe jalapeno peppers. We zest the peppers and add the zest to each jar of honey. Then we chop up jalapeno peppers and add them to the honey. These peppers stay in the honey until the right amount of flavor and heat have infused the sweet honey. They are removed. You will see pieces of zest in the honey but this continues to infuse flavor into the honey. Enjoy this sweet hot honey on all things. Especially, all things savory.
Orange Chocolate Honey - Here we use fresh pure Cacao or Cocoa. We zest fresh oranges. We add the orange zest, fresh orange and the cocoa. This is a delight. Again, ingredients may float to the top of the honey in the jar. Give it a stir and enjoy this treat.
Spice Pecan Honey - We created our own Fall blend of seasoning. We use these fresh winter spices, Cinnamon, Nutmeg, Allspice, Ginger and Clove in the honey. We add fresh pecans to each jar. This comes together to make Christmas in a jar flavor. Ingredients will float to the top. Stir before dipping out of the jar to ensure the pecans last to the last drop.
Spice Jars have a pour side and a sprinkle side. They are 4 oz jars. We fill the jars to full. All seasonings weigh differently and the weight is listed on the jar label.
All of our seasonings are made with the freshest of herbs and spices. We use chunky pieces when possible. We prefer the larger pieces over grinding everything to a powder. The ingredients we use are all listed on the front of every jar. We do NOT hide anything under the word "spices". They are all free of any kind of preservative, msg or anticaking products. All of our seasonings are Gluten Free.
Herbs and spices can last 6 months to a year once dried. All herbs begin to dissipate in flavor in four months after dried. You can continue to use them past that time but you will not be getting peak flavor.
Some of our seasonings contain Sea Salt. We use only Sea Salt. Treat these as the Sea Salt is the first ingredient and is salt first.
