Consider as a “sweet” herb, this is one of our “go to” herbs for the every level cook. Easy to use anywhere, this is one we encourage you to use on a regular basis. Commonly used in tomato flavored dishes but is great in beans, cheeses, chicken, eggs, fish, marinades, pasta sauces and salads.
In general it is added at the last moment because cooking quickly destroys the flavor.
It combines well with many other herbs and is a great around herb to have on the shelf.
